Just in time for the holidays, we got an amazing gift: our new G2 badges for Winter 2022, earned during Q4 of 2021. Every season, the software review aggregator platform G2 takes the past quarter’s ratings into account and awards badges to the top performers.

This winter, Swell received 6 badges, including:

  • High Performer
  • High Performer (Small-Business)
  • High Performer (Mid-Market)
  • Momentum Leader
  • Leader (Small Business)
  • Users Love Us

Here’s What Swell’s Awards Mean

To understand how Swell earned each badge, let's dig into how G2 judges awards.

According to G2:

High Performer Badges: Products in the High Performer quadrant in the Grid® Report have high customer Satisfaction scores and low Market Presence scores compared to the rest of the category.

Leader Badge: Products in the Leader quadrant in the Small-Business Grid® Report are rated highly by G2 users and have substantial Satisfaction and Market Presence scores.

Momentum Leader Badge: Products in the Leader tier in the Momentum Grid® rank in the top 25% of their category's products by their users.

Users Love Us Badge: The Users Love Us badge is earned after collecting 20 reviews with an average rating of 4.0 stars.

Who Uses G2?

Any professional who uses a business service or software platform in their day-to-day life has the chance to visit G2.com to submit ratings and reviews. They rank platforms according to different criteria such as user-friendliness, customer support, and strength of features. They are also encouraged to provide written feedback for the business.

Why do users submit reviews? Most of the time, they just want to share their experience to help others who are choosing a platform. In some cases, G2 provides a small incentive for honest reviews, but their intention isn’t to sway ratings in any one direction, it’s just to increase the number and quality of reviews.

Authenticity is the goal of every review. In fact, G2 takes multiple steps to verify that reviewers are actual users of the product. They even use an algorithm to identify and prevent employees from reviewing their own company or their company’s competitors. Reviews with in-depth information are emphasized more highly than those with less.

Why Do Reviews Matter?

We love getting feedback from our customers. In our experience, customer reviews are one of our greatest assets because both positive and negative reviews give us an opportunity to understand and engage with our users. From there, we can improve our platform and ensure we stay on track towards our company’s goals.
